A Journey by Train

As my temperature rises all the sounds in the compartment start moving around me in circles – endless talks on topics that remain the same forever, jokes with the most obvious punch lines, screeching cry of a child refusing to calm down, yawn of a bored old woman, loud appalling music playing on the TV in front, continuous ringing of a phone that doesn’t get picked up.

The ache in my head grows stronger. I drown in the noises around me, unable to think, forgetting the answers to all the questions, even the simplest ones. Where am I going? Where do I go?
